things i've seen this weekend

Fish, Clay, Perspex by Faulty optic. The third part was my favourite - crappy animation, puppet clowning, playing with masking tape - there's nothing not to like there.


Endgame
This is the first Beckett play I've ever seen. Afterwards we saw Mark "finest actor of his generation" Rylance in the pub. Who I grinned at but was too shy to say hello.

Things to think about

I've been looking at the work of illustrators and animators and these are the things I like and would like to experiment with: muted colours, rich colours, limited palette, gold and silver; layers; paper and fabric textures; showing the time in the work; text; printing; collage, photos and photocopy; stop motion; a nostalgic feel - 19th century to 70s.

These are nearly done now. I just have to decide how and where to hang them.
